The kindergarten
students do not get formal homework for the first couple months of school. The homework usually consists of a worksheet that focuses on skills that were taught in class. I try to give it on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Encourage them to use pencil when writing and only crayons for drawings.
Please continue to encourage them to retell their favorite stories and allow them to use their kid writing.

Theme:
Each month we have a theme. We will send home a bag and your child can put in items related to that theme. We will take turns sharing our bag over the course of the month.
The kindergarten standard is to be able to count to 100 by 10s and 1s.
Here are a couple songs we sing each day to help us count.
